An introduction to Restructional Projects. A second hand garment holds - besides that its been bought - used/worn and rejected parameters such as: silhouette, pattern construction, and material but also the politics of consumption, production, and trends. Also including the architectonic aspects as well as the emotional, tactile and olfactory senses/memories. From these parameters Restructional Projects evolve and what often starts with a problem solving idea ends up in a project. These project outcomes can be an exhibition, a performance, a film, text or clothing. On the color black: http://www.cabinetmagazine.org/issues/36/lafarge.php |
